The Mission of the Foundation
“From those to whom much is given, much shall be required.”
That is the belief of the Sean Salisbury Foundation and the genesis of its conception over 12 years ago".
San Diego County has thousands of well deserving, stand up teens who will most likely not ever attend college due to personal tragedies, dysfunctional or abusive family situations, disease, misfortune or a myriad of other similar or worse problems.
 A small core of these young people despite their hardships have somehow found a way to rise above their circumstances. Each recipient chosen is based upon their ability, drive, desire and determination to achieve a college education to help better themselves, their families and the community of San Diego. The incredible human spirit of these exceptional kids cannot be denied.
Many of our past recipients have graduated and gone on to excel in the fields of medicine, education, science and technology, proving that the "pass it on" philosophy is a valid and worthy one. Our goal at the foundation is to grow the amount of recipients each year, as well as create endowments to assure that these much needed scholarships will continue for years to come. We cannot do it alone. We rely on the incredible generosity of the San Diego community, businesses and individuals who have, over the years opened their wallets and their hearts over and over.
